Killick Aerospace Site Signage Collaborating with Killick Aerospace, a global leader in aviation services, was a rewarding experience for our team. Our work included designing and installing prominent building signage, a modern reception sign, directional totem signs, and custom wall graphics that reflect their brand's essence. Each element was crafted to enhance their environment and reinforce their corporate identity. Contributions We provided Killick Aerospace with a range of custom signage solutions, including industrial facility signs for enhanced visibility, a modern reception sign that complements their professional environment, totem signs to guide visitors to the reception and delivery areas, and custom wall graphics for their canteen, adding a sense of community to the space. Each project was designed to reflect Killick’s professionalism and strengthen their brand presence. Exterior Building Signs Reception Sign Totem Signs Wall Graphics Exterior Building Signs For this project, we were tasked with creating a non-illuminated exterior sign for a building that stands over 20 meters high and spans a large area. Given the size of the sign and the height of the installation, we initially proposed a design that included a back panel to secure all letters in place before lifting it to the installation point. However, this design was not approved by the landlord, who preferred not to have panels attached to the building’s exterior. With this requirement, we needed to find a way to install each letter directly onto the building’s existing corrugated cladding. Since the surface was uneven, we used custom-sized spacers for each letter to ensure they aligned uniformly. Each part of each letter required different spacer lengths to create an even appearance across the corrugated surface. To achieve this precision, we first created a large template with detailed markings indicating the exact positions for each letter and spacer. We temporarily affixed this template to the building in the correct position, labeled all drill points, and carefully drilled the necessary holes. Once the template was removed, we installed the spacers individually, ensuring they were properly aligned. Finally, we mounted each letter piece-by-piece until the entire sign was securely in place. The custom spacers not only allowed for a secure installation but also provided a unique dimensional effect from ground level, giving the sign a striking visual impact. Reception Sign For the reception sign, we began by carefully measuring the wall and creating a detailed proof that previewed the logo’s appearance in its intended space. Once the client approved the design, we moved forward with fabrication, cutting each letter precisely on our CNC router. The letters were then coated with a satin-finish, white 2K paint to ensure a durable and refined look. To create depth, we added standoffs to the back of each letter, providing a subtle separation from the wall. Using a printed template, we marked the exact placement for each letter and ensured perfect alignment. After securing the template, we drilled the necessary perforations and installed each letter and logo element one by one. The result was a sleek, dimensional sign that beautifully enhances the reception area, combining durability with visual impact. Totem Signs For the totem sign, we constructed a durable aluminum frame with panels on both sides and reinforced legs designed for secure installation. To ensure longevity and a high-end appearance, we wrapped the sign in premium polymeric vinyl with a matte laminate, giving it an elegant, professional finish. On installation day, we drilled two precise 80 cm holes at the designated location. We set the sign’s legs into these holes, aligning it perfectly, then poured concrete to secure the structure. The result is a well-branded, rock-solid totem sign that will stand strong for years to come. Wall Graphics For this project, we were tasked with designing a custom map of Dublin to wrap an entire wall in the canteen. The design process was intricate, involving several hours of tracing Dublin’s network of roads. The wide dimensions of the wall allowed us to incorporate the company’s logo on the right side, along with illustrations of Dublin’s most iconic buildings along the bottom. The client was thrilled with the design and approved it immediately. We printed the final graphic on high-tack premium polymeric vinyl with a matte laminate for durability and an elegant finish. Installation went smoothly, and the result was outstanding. The wall graphic quickly became a conversation piece, sparking discussions as employees pointed out where they live and where they grew up, adding a warm, communal touch to the space. The Muff Halo illuminated building sign We had the privilege of collaborating with Xtreme Signs to create a standout halo-lit sign for The Muff Distillery in Donegal. Designed with custom aluminium letters and a back panel for smooth installation, the sign’s unique size and shape presented some fun challenges for our team. Unveiled at the distillery’s grand opening in July 2024, this sign brought an eye-catching finish that highlighted The Muff Distillery’s brand in a memorable way. We’re grateful to have been part of this exciting project! Contributions We were responsible for the production and assembly of the illuminated halo sign for The Muff Distillery. Our team handled the, fabrication of the 3D aluminium letters, and custom back panels, ensuring perfect alignment and a seamless backlit effect. Planning Stage Production Stage Final Assembly Grand Opening Planning Stage The project began with Xtreme Signs presenting a rough mockup of The Muff Distillery sign. Working closely with them, we provided guidance on the best construction methods to achieve the desired look, especially given the need for varied letter sizes. This led us to devise unique approaches for each part of the sign, carefully planning the framing, lighting, and installation details. Once the plans were finalized and everyone was aligned, we moved forward with production. Production Stage We began production by CNC laser cutting the back panels and large letters from aluminum. Due to the small size of some letters, fitting LEDs inside wasn’t feasible. To solve this, we cut out the shapes of the small letters from the back panel, allowing the panel itself to function as a lightbox. A polycarbonate sheet was installed behind the panel to hold these small letters while allowing light to shine through. Xtreme Signs assisted by cutting the small letters from PVC Foamex and cutting polycarbonate backings for the larger letters. Next, we carefully bent the aluminum sides of the large letters, a challenging step due to the varying sizes and unique shapes. Once shaped, we welded the sides to the letter faces, creating a sturdy 3D effect. The letters were then painted in the brand’s signature gold, with the interiors finished in white to enhance light reflection. For the back panel, we used a high-quality, long-term matte black vinyl wrap, ensuring a consistent and smooth finish that highlights the letters perfectly. Final Assembly The next step was to build a sturdy aluminum frame for the back of the panels, providing support and creating space for the electrical components and LEDs of the smaller letters. Once the frame was securely in place, we proceeded with the assembly. The backings for the larger letters were attached to the panels with spacers, creating the desired backlit halo effect, and the LEDs were carefully positioned. After everything was aligned and ready, we pre-drilled the necessary holes to secure the letters. The final step was to connect the electrical components at the back of the sign. Following a thorough testing process, the sign lit up perfectly, just as planned. The team at Xtreme Signs was thrilled with the final result, and we were grateful to be part of such a fantastic project. Grand Opening We successfully completed the project just in time for The Muff Distillery’s grand opening. The sign looked fantastic, and it quickly became a highlight of the celebration, with guests and attendees taking pictures in front of it throughout the day. As a key Irish liquor brand with notable investors present at the event, the sign not only made a stunning visual impact but also became a prominent feature in all media coverage, appearing in news photos, social media posts, and videos. Meet the team behind Brandmark Signs Ltd. About Us An owner operated business, bringing international signage experience to the Irish market. Abe Galvi | Owner & Production Lead Technical design, production planning & logistics. Perla Galvi | Owner & Creative Lead Creative direction, design workflow, and business administration. Our Story Foundations. Our journey began in 2015, fresh out of university. With Abe specializing in Engineering and Manufacturing, and Perla in Design and Business, we launched our first design and fabrication studio. Initially, we focused on helping local businesses with their branding, design quality was always our priority. While the fabrication side grew more gradually, our goal was always to build what we designed. We prepared for it by investing in formal welding and fabrication training early on, allowing us to transition from pure design into the signage industry. International Experience. To master the skills required for large scale industrial signage, we worked alongside Superior Neon Signs in the USA, a company with a 90 year legacy in the industry. This was a pivotal chapter. Working on massive infrastructure, from 30 meter pylon signs to 3 meter high channel letters, we gained deep experience in structural safety, wind load engineering, and managing complex signage projects. Establishing in Ireland. We brought that technical skillset to Ireland in late 2021. We immediately began working alongside some of the country's leading signage companies and industry professionals, supplying specialized manufacturing and design services. Brandmark Signs Ltd.
